My Teaching Philosophy

Classroom Philosophy

Your child is here to learn and respect others in the classroom. Inclusion is everything and every child will have a fair opportunity to participate and learn in the classroom. Students learn best when they are in a comfortable environment. I will do my best to provide that for them and make sure they feel safe and welcomed in every way.

Education Philosophy

Every child has the right to the same, free, and appropriate education. It doesn't matter where you live or come from. I will do my best to make sure I have all the tools every student needs so they can learn to the best of their abilities. I will do my best to make sure every lesson is inclusive and is taught to the student's needs. I believe that every lesson should cater to all types of learners. Every day I strive to be the best teacher I can be for my students through creativity, care, and love. I want to inspire my students to be life-long learners and allow them to see that learning can be fun!

Every Child Needs a Champion

This is one of my favorite Ted Talks. Every semester before I go out into the field and work with students, I watch this video. As a teacher you are going to have good days, and bad days. This video reminds me why I need to hold on to the good days and keep pushing forward through the bad. It is so inspiring and I believe every teacher should watch!
